Primitive Bench

The primitive bench we bought last weekend fits comfortably behind the vintage rattan sofa in the living room (loving room). The sofa is covered in an old chenille spread because of our puppy. I have always been drawn to primitive benches and all primitive pieces. Perhaps it is because my dad bought me a primitive bench. I can count on one hand the items daddy bought me in my adult life. That is my own chippy chair from when I was a toddler. All sweet memories my friends.

  3. We have a bench similar to yours, except that ours is a bit clumpier and the legs a bit thicker.(Was left here when we moved in) It's always referred to as 'the pig bench' because it was used to dress a pig after it had been slaughtered. (don't even like to think about it). Love your little chair.

  19. Your childhood chair shows off the bench in its best light. I had a vision of a little girl sitting there right before I read it was yours. Now I'm psychic, apparently... I love that big chopping board too- couldn't help seeing it. Ann
