The captivating quality of blue flowers is never lost on me.
This is a Blue Daze Evolvulus.
It is an annual that likes full morning sun and once it is established can take low water.
I like it for that too.
Rain being scarce and all.
Joe and I sometimes buy pine straw-nuts that we are.
This would be the un-swept and un-kept side of our deck.
The Blue Daze kind of sweeps over the terracotta pot.
This is the first time I have planted it.
It is blooming like this right now, for once I am posting in real time.
But I must catch the cat and go to our old house.
See y'all later.
Have you seen or planted Blue Daze?
may joy and peace surround you

This is the first time I've seen blue daze and they are beautiful. I love blue flowers, forget-me-nots, bluebells and violas in the spring, delphiniums in the summer and wisteria. Michaelmas daisies in the autumn. Olive, thanks so much for leaving a comment on my site. Feeling much better now x
ReplyDeleteI love blue Daze...it's blooms are so sweet. I also like putting it in a pot and your pot is wonderful...I like it best when my pots get old and green like yours...perfect!!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen it before, but how pretty!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty plant Olive....it isn't blousy or showy but it is really beautiful.....and, there is no better container than an old weathered terracotta pot !

Those are just beautiful Olive! I have never heard of them... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteI don't have any blue daze but would love some. It's beautiful. I adore pine straw too. A few years ago I tried a couple of local nurseries to see if I could get in here in Ohio. I totally struck out. No one could get it. That's one of the reasons I watch the Masters every year. They lay pine straw everywhere. Just gorgeous. Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteThere is something very appealing about Blue Daze. I've never heard of it.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of it before Olive, and it is so pretty. It reminds me a little of blue flax. Such a sweet bloom it has. The perfect blue!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images, Olive!!

Just seems to be so few blue flowers in nature so I always relish seeing them. Love photos!
ReplyDeleteI have planted it before. It's one of those plants that is hard to find up here, so I have only found it once or twice. I liked the airiness of it. Hope you caught the cat!
ReplyDeleteI have never planted it ~ but I love it!
