~fight club~

Clovis is not happy with his mama today. He was not happy with me yesterday either. Such is the life for this kitty mama. He saw the vet, again, today. He had an injection for arthritis. We traveled to the old house to see the vet. Clovis has lost weight which is alarming.

We think Clovis has lost weight for two reasons: joint pain and sparring with Shelley. Clovis is the aggressor. Shelley, being a youngster, wants to play and Clovis is not entertaining that idea. They will lay on the sofa bottom to bottom. If Clovis makes eye contact with Shelly-game on people. We are keeping them separate more often so Clovis can relax.

I will be traveling to North Georgia to the mountains to see CC on Friday. Joe will be home with the fight club. That also means I will be going to Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Williams Sonoma Outlets and some antique malls. I will attempt photos with my iPhone.

joy and peace

  2. We are having the same dynamic recently between our big dog and one of our cats. The cat is acting more out of sorts too and I hope nothing is wrong. Poor guy. He is only six so my daughter is very worried. On another note enjoy your time with CC. Shop for me too!!

  4. Pets are just like kids, aren't they?! Poor ole Clovis. She just isn't the youngster she used to be. I hate to hear about animals with arthritis. The last dog we had got it bad before he passed away. He used to be SO active and then it started slowing him down. Glad that you took steps to have Clovis treated for it though. That should help. Have fun shopping! You won't be too far from me then.

  7. Oh Clovis, You know the first rule of Fight Club is, "we don't talk about fight club". You need some chill time - don't let that pup get to you! He just wants to be friends... Have fun with CC and all your other stops. Ann

  14. Poor Clovis. You would think they would have settled into a routine of just ignoring each other by now, but cats seem to be pretty sensitive. Have fun with C.C..

  19. You know first rule of "Fight Club" is that you never talk about "Fight Club" so you are in trouble already. I hope Clovis starts to do better. One day that pup will settle down but its going to be a couple of years.

  27. Love your pets! One of my kitties has arthritis too. (He's also overweight which doesn't help). I've had him on Kitty Cosequin for awhile and it seems to really help with his mobility. I hope he feels better soon and you enjoy your trip!
