Since I acquired a set of red transferware this summer
I am going to use it for Christmas.
So many of you are doing the same and are a great inspiration to me.
I have more dishes in this set.
I still have not decided if I am preparing brunch on Christmas morning.
I better hurry with that decision.
I laugh every time I look at these photos.
I cannot keep spoons half way straight in a stacked tablescape.
Just think what horrible errors I would make if I actually set a full table.
I shudder to think of it.

I'm in love with your dishes! I've got lots of blue & white transferware, but I'd love a set of red to use and display during the holiday season.
ReplyDeleteOh Olive, your red transferware is just gorgeous!... I put mine out too for Christmas where I had my Blue Willow... and who wants straight spoons anyway???... love your look!... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteLove your transferware vignettes.

ReplyDeleteI have blue and white, and I've just started to collect the red as well. Your collection is wonderful, and your photos are so pretty too. And I didn't even notice the spoons!
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you! I used mine for the first time last year and am using it again. My sweet husband just bought me 8 salad plates in the Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles green Christmas tree pattern. I cannot wait to add them to the Romantic England. Lol, I get so excited about red/pink transferware! I'm sure yours will be beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. I love the red transferware. I think it would be gorgeous for a brunch. I love a Christmas brunch!

I'm still in love with the wax ornament, too.
ReplyDeleteI Love your dishes "AND" your pictures! Your spoons are just fine. I am a true believer of casual fun setting. You DO NOT have to play by any rules! "Just Have Fun"!!! then it's PERFECT!
ReplyDeleteBig Squishy Hugs to you,

ReplyDeleteI think red transferware is gorgeous year round. Yours will be beautiful for Christmas morning. We usually do homemade waffles on Christmas morning. So delicious! There is always such good food to eat during December.
ReplyDeleteLovely Red Willow pieces! I'm thinking of a brunch also but haven't decided either. One thing I do make every year, whether it's for breakfast or brunch, is a Canadian Bacon Casserole. It is our favorite brunch casserole!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty dishes! I love your vintage scale, too! Thanks so much for visiting my blog, and for your nice comments:)
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a set of red transferware. It's a look that could be used on an everyday basis if a person so chose... but YES... for the holidays it's perfect!

Your red transferware is beautiful. I've always admired it but haven't let myself buy any yet. I think it makes a gorgeous holiday table.
ReplyDeleteOlive, I love your red tranferware.I have blue heron dishes and wish I had waited and maybe picked up a couple sets of red. I have seen some brown before. I think your dishes will look so nice set out on the table. If you do breakfast , tell us what you are making.Please. xo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI love red transferware at Christmas, Olive! This was such a great set you found and will make for a beautiful tablesetting!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful set of transferware. It wasn't until I was a blogger that I really knew what it was and appreciated transferware. Does it come in green too? I've seen it in so many colors now that I am "aware" of it. How fun to have some green and red together. I think the spoons look more natural as they are in the picture - hmmmfff. Ann
