A white and vintage table scarf found pressed and starched at a yard sale for two dollars. Add Joe’s milk glass. I found these three pieces scattered around the old house when we married. They might be his mother’s.
The embroidery on this table scarf is executed perfectly. The stitching is fine and I think the backside looks beautiful also. This could never be said of pieces I did in my twenties.
Grouping the milk glass pieces together makes for a more cohesive look. I especially like the urn in the back.
I was shopping for an ace wrap at one am and overslept and missed my magical sun in the window perfect moment. Please pardon my glare. The ace wrap I hope is not a blog for another day!
I am linking with Kathleen at Faded Charm for White Wednesday and at Coloradolady for Vintage Thingie Thursday. Please visit them for all the white and vintage goodness.

I think that embroidery
ReplyDeleteis an art that is hugely
underappreciated! It used
to be easy to find "kits"
but then everything turned
to cross-stitch and needle-
point. I love embroidery.
And, I love Father Tim, too ~
Have read every single story,
so it was fun to find out
that he is YOUR Mr. Darcy!
xx Suzanne

Hi,
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you! I haven't seen your blog before. I am blog hopping today. It's cloudy and dreary here in central NJ, and I have my coffee, and I am happy! Love your pretty white milk glass. The embroidered linen is gorgeous. I am watching a piece like that on e-bay. I hope it doesn't go too high!
Debbie
You are right, the stitches are amazing on that beautiful linen piece. I have a fondness for milk glass too, and have been picking up a few pieces here and there. Have a great VTT!
ReplyDeleteI love your grouping of milkglass, and the embroidery is so beautiful. I would never be able to do this kind of work, I'm too messy! Ace Wrap? Take it easy, sister!
ReplyDeletexo,
