Old Beat Up Pottery Makes Us Happy

We found a lovely old beat up piece of pottery at an estate sale on Saturday.

We think it is from the 1920's.
It is perfect for our now fading hydrangeas.

Joe and I love and collect old southern pottery.

The top has numerous chips but the flowers are a perfect cover for them.
Because it was day two of the sale the crock was $12.00. We consider that a very good price.

Two vintage bowls make the tabletop country style and that is fine with us.

I could have put a vintage runner there but I am slipping due to motorcycle fatigue but that is another story.

I am linking with Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday.

  1. Great finds! Makes a pretty vignette! Love the hydrangeas in the brown jug!

I was just reading your profile and we have some things in common - my husband's name is also Joe, my grandmother's name was Olive, and yellow is my favorite color, so I would love your yellow house! Our house is white with yellow trim.

  8. I LOVE old pottery too. and don't mind chips at all. I always convince myself to bring it home by figuring it will go wonderful in my garden, BUT somehow it always makes itself RIGHT AT HOME inside! I love your runner too, is that citrus on it???
    Have a wonderful week,
