The hearth in summer is wickedly fun to decorate.
Let's see what's up there today shall we?
All my green things straight up and turned over.
The handled flower basket was found this weekend at a garage sale. The center copper urn was a gift from a friend. The remaining items are all from recent estate sales.
I love that the basket has a galvanized container inside it so that I can arrange fresh flowers in it.
I am partying here:
grace surrounds us

ReplyDeleteNice hearth arrangement. Love your tall green flower basket.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Olive! I have been trying to get ideas for my hearth now that we aren't using the fireplace...something the dogs won't knock over. I love the greens in your arrangement! Great job!

ReplyDeleteThat wonderful green wicker basket is just yummy. I see it with lots of black-eyed susans. My hearth needs real help! xoxo Debra
ReplyDeleteYour hearth look so fresh, light and airy for summer.
ReplyDeleteThat wicker basket is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteLooking good. Is the green wicker basket a funeral basket? I love those things, but never saw one that wasn't plain old white.
ReplyDeleteI love the urn and the basket!
ReplyDeleteStill loving those whimsical metal flowers.
ReplyDeleteYou got some really cool stuff! I love the urn and the funeral basket is awesome. They are kind of hard to find now. NICE!

I have a hearth like that Olive, and what you have done makes it look really good =- really eye-catching. I just cover mine with a pretty decoupage screen in the summer, but you have given me ideas there. I shall look round the house and see what I have to make it look lovely! Thank you.
ReplyDeletePam-the handled flower basket probably is a funeral basket. I bought it from an antique dealer who was having a "garage sale" and she had several funeral baskets that were white. If I had many thousands of dollars I could have some European antiques right now. It was not a "garage sale" as I understand them.
ReplyDeleteGreen...it's not just for Christmas anymore. Love your grouping....now bring on the home made ice cream!

ReplyDeleteLove all your vintage baskets! The wicker one looks great in green!
