Cupcakes on the bar.
Double Chocolate, Chocolate Pear, and Mango Margarita
You may be surprised where these homemade and delicious confections came from.
I get them from The Goodwill Cafe at the GoodBooks store inside Goodwill in Augusta, Georgia. This store is one of two upscale Goodwill's that will be models for more that will be developed across the country. The other is in Macon, Georgia. With coffee, chicken salad, tuna salad, sandwiches, and desserts now there is no reason to leave Goodwill for lunch anymore. This is a brilliant plan.

Dear Olive - do take care and hope you are soon on the mend♥ The cakes look delicious with such interesting flavours.
ReplyDeleteYes... very nice that Goodwill now offers this food service, but it makes me wonder if perhaps they are charging a bit too much for the items they are selling... I thought they were a non-profit organization, so I don't get this.... nice though to snack while you shop.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful cupcakes. I've been in a couple of Goodwill's recently that seemed more upscale. Things were sorted, presented more accessably. I was impressed.
ReplyDeleteGet better soon.....
ReplyDeleteWow!! The mango cupcake looks heavenly.
I hope you feel better soon. Thanks for stopping by, and you had me with that chocolate cupcake, then the pretty plate with the unique plate hanger, and the awesome green bowl on top of the books (and a book about birds!). I'll be dropping by again. xo

ReplyDeleteMore and more social enterprises are looking for creative ways to increase revenue. And what a treat for us. Our local homeless outreach center makes fabulous cookies that they sell at the local farmers market and ship all over the united states. I love enterprise!
