Happy Weekend
We three are having a late lunch, Mexican, and chilling after that.
CC is preparing to return to her dorm in two weeks and is washing about twenty five loads of laundry.
She just finished summer school online on Wednesday and her making those deadlines made me craziER. College, for me, was a long, long, time ago and in a galaxy far, far away.
Garage sales in the morning for us!
What are your weekend plans?
grace surrounds us
Olive
I can't believe school is starting up already. My daughter has transferred to the Univ. of Il. in Chicago and starts in a few weeks. Sniff, sniff. They are getting older {but we're not!!}
ReplyDeleteI'm doing laundry like crazy, too. We are leaving for the lake tonight for a 2 weeks stay. I am SO looking forward to it!
Hope you enjoy your nice lunch and good luck at the sales!!
XO,
Jane
that sounds fantastic, Olive! Have I mentioned to you that it is also my mother's name, love it!

Sounds like a busy weekend at your Casa! Hope the Mexican Food was good and the chillax-in afterwards was even nicer. I'm having cocktails with girlfriends tonight; tomorrow morning my Sunday School class is gathering at a shelter to make a couple of hundred sack lunches for the homeless and I'm overseeing the remodeling of a detached gameroom behind my house into a efficiency apartment for my 21 year old niece who will be attending law school in Houston this fall. Happy Weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Olive!
ReplyDeleteHi Olive, hope you have fun at the garage sales, I always love seeing what you find!... our weekend will be spent trying to cool off, it is sooo hot here, and chilling out with pizza and cokes!... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteOlive,
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good weekend. We are going to just take it easy. I hope the grandchildren will come for a little visit. Sunday I am working on a quilt!
Carol
Sounds delightful...
ReplyDeleteSounds a nice way to spend the weekend! We're off to Car Booty on Sunday - hope the weather's good!
ReplyDeleteNo big plans at our house. I've been doing a little bit of shopping for my son's apartment at college. He leaves in 2 weeks too. I found some fun retro dishes at the thrift store yesterday and he liked them!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Jane
Grandkids ballgames and picking more corn and church.
ReplyDelete"She" will be running errands - going to JoAnn's for more fabric because the 40 yards "she" has is not enough. And going to another store for more pillow forms because 30 isn't enough. And then probably some painting of furniture for the show.
ReplyDeleteRomeo...will INSIDE napping with an occasion look-see out the window to see "her" sweat "her" chops off OUTSIDE. And of course snacks and plenty of water. It will be an exhausting weekend for Romeo.
We both hope you have a great weekend. Sounds like you've started it out right with a little Mexican break :)
Sounds like you are going to have a fun weekend, Olive. We are going to an estate sale tomorrow...Christine
ReplyDeleteHope your garage saleing is wonderful...I went yesterday, but no finds. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteAwww...college...wonderful memories of getting my sons ready...seems like they were just there, but then I realized my youngest graduated 8 years ago! I love garage sales...estate sales...thrift shops...if it's old and worn...I'm there...have fun!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a delightful weekend for you Olive. I went to two estate sales today - empty-handed I came out. Went to cloth store with friend to get 47(!) yards of burlap for table overlays for this wedding that's happening soon around here. That will be our project next week. I'm glad she knows what we are doing because I am very confused about the measuring, etc. Ann
ReplyDeleteNow if you find some nifty finds...be sure to share them at NTT!!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda

Have a lovely weekend, we are off to collect a guest who will be staying for a week so I will not be around on line much. Take Care.
ReplyDeleteOlive,
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend and delightful garage-saling!
Good for CC making her deadlines! I'm sure she'll do a fine job.
The summer flew by didn't it?
ReplyDeleteI hope your weekend was successful and that you found great treasures!

Lovely to have you stop by, Olive! I hope your weekend went well and the garage sale was a success. I've scheduled one of my own for the end of the month...have lots to get rid of, although everything in my studio is staying...LOL!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your family time, and have a wonderful week...:)
They didn't even have online courses when I went to school. Probably because they didn't have computers (well they were invented, just not everyone had one).
