Patio and Deck at the Yellow House

The patio at our yellow house is a place of contentment for us.

We often eat here or have coffee in the morning.

The patio set is vintage and becoming chippy. It seems to have been pink once upon a time.

This is the flower garden I am adding plants to all the time. Must stop soon.

Here you can see the deck and rain drops on my lens. Oops.

A partial shade garden.

The deck, with it's picnic table which is really a potting table of sorts.

We never eat at that table because it is in full sun.
The chaise is nice very early in the morning for reading and bird watching.

A sedum in a strawberry pot. Sedums are easy and fun to grow in our hot summers and can be left out in our mild winters.

I hope you enjoyed our patio and deck because we use them as outdoor rooms that extend the inside of our house.

I am joining Kim at Savvy Southern Style for her Summer Porch and Deck Party.

  17. What a pretty back yard! I love the addition of all the plants and flowers to the bed- is there ever too much? Asks the novice gardener! LOL I'm hoping to give the back yard beds a cottagey feel. At least that's the current plan.... we'll have to see how the hardscape plans turn out! :-) Sue

Nice to meet you. Thanks for stopping by our porch. I notice that you are from Georgia. I'm from SC. Your yard looks marvelous. I hope it's surviving all this heat. We finally got some good rain last night. Hope you did, too.

  33. This is probably the greenest deck I’ve ever seen – a perfect spot to build a deck. I could see why you and your family hang out here often. Isn’t this just a lovely place to have a nightcap? Sol @ DiamondCompanies.net
