Joe and I feel we find much of quality and character at garage sales.
Enter Sheldon, otherwise know as Shelley from now on.
Discovered at our last garage sale of the day.
Puppy love, we got it.
He is a six week old German Shepard and Lab mix.
We named him after Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory.
Joe has been wanting a puppy for quite a while and he looked at this puppy today and said he was the one. After talking to the young woman, who had the litter of puppies, we discovered she and the puppies are from my hometown of Jackson, South Carolina. That sort of settled it. He is asleep at my feet right now, Joe is trimming shrubbery and Clovis (our cat) is thinking hard about this interloper.
Life is going to get a whole lot more interesting.
joy and peace

ReplyDeleteOh yes....love of a dog is hard and fast. And you are going to be very busy....I always want to ship my puppies away during the chew stage. Nothing is safe!! But he is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteOh, he is CUTE!!! Congratulations! I hope the potty training goes better for you than it has for us - Frida still just doesn't seem to get it, but she is getting better! Sheldon is a great name!
ReplyDeleteWe've been without a pet for seven years now and the husband has been wanting a dog but we don't have the time to train a new puppy. Your new addition is just as cute as can be and I bet he'll be friends with the cat soon enough!

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing about his antics!
Cute puppy. I like German Shepards. We got a free cat(Zoey) at a rummage sale....Ted says there is nothing free about her.:):) Now it's "cat for sale, cat for sale." LOL. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteOh Olive,
ReplyDeleteSheldon is so lovely .... I can see just why you couldn't resist him.....and, coming from your hometown, he was just meant to be with you both. He doesn't know how lucky he is to have come home with you. Poor Clovis ....now your cat will have to share the love !! XXXX
Oh Olive, I love Sheldon - named after one of my fav TV characters too! You have just acquired a ton of new blog material with this sweet adoption. Clovis, my feline-loving self hopes you adjust to this little rascal. Just let him know you are the boss and it will all work out. Our first dog was a German Shepherd mix. Smartest dog we ever had and his best friend was our calico cat. Ann
