Shelley traveled well yesterday and was a star.
People stopped their cars to speak to him.
College girls flocked to him.

Yesterday was long but filled with bitter sweet moments for CC as she said goodbye to her room mates. Sophia, an exchange student from China cried and cried as CC got into the truck. That started a river of tears all round for the four roommates. Between star Shelley and our weeping girls we had quite the drama going on.

Oh Olive, I just LOVE that puppy of yours!... I'll bet CC fell in love with Shelley quickly too... and it is bittersweet saying goodbyes always... lots of tears I am sure, but I know the roommates will always remain close... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteso sweet...look at those eyes :) we have a new teacup chihuahua...she is a sweetie too.
DeleteIs she just breaking for the summer? Hopefully they can see each other again in the fall. Your pup is adorable and you took such great pics and I love the effect. I may have to check out pic monkey.
ReplyDeleteWonderful that Shelley is a good car dog. Our current little rescue can't go a block in a car.
ReplyDeleteHe's just too cute. Glad CC has some fun with the puppy to help get her mind off of sad goodbye's.
ReplyDeleteOlive, I just read your post. I don't know why but, I almost cried thinking of those girls all crying.Gee, it is sad, when you think you may never see someone you truly like again. Hope the pup cheered CC up somewhat. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteOlive, Shelley is just the cutest little doggy. I'm sure she helped to cheer CC up. CC and her collage roommates will probably be life long friends and get together occasionally.
ReplyDeleteYou better keep an eye on hubby. Puppies are chick magnets! lol Could Shelley come over and give car travelling lessons to my friend's puppy, so it doesn't throw up on my when we have to take it somewhere? ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteShelley is just adorable - and I am sure that she was a great comfort to CC on the journey home.
ReplyDeleteOh Olive, little Shelley is SO gorgeous and cute! I can imagine him getting lots of attention. I can remember when my daughters were younger - we always seemed to have one drama or another going on!!

Shelley is sooo cute! Honestly, those eyes would melt ice. I'm glad Shelley was along for the ride home to cheer CC after sad goodbyes.
ReplyDeleteGood byes are always a bit painful. Shelley is beautiful and she must have helped fill that empty void CC was feeling when she said good bye to her room mates.
ReplyDeleteshe is just too cute. I would spoil her rotten.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable puppy. Already a member of the family to be sure.
ReplyDeleteThose tears still come from losses my children experience. When they cry, I cry. Had another one of those this weekend:( Puppies help:) I am loving my new granddog, Charlie and that baby of yours is precious. Would like to have some fun time with Shelley!
ReplyDeleteAww, at least your daughter and her friends have Skype and the internet these days so they can stay in touch! And Shelley is so cute, it's so important to socialize puppies and who wouldn't want to love on him?!
ReplyDeleteKat
What a DARLING puppy! I love dogs. I know that was heartbreaking to see your daughter so emotional. It's good that she felt so close to her roommates.
ReplyDeleteMy hands are clapping for your new "Chick Magnet", Shelley. I'm sure he helped ease those emotional tears as your daughter begins the next step on her life's journey. They must have been wonderful roomies and they will most likely be lifelong friends. Mwah to Mr. Shelley, he is so adorable. Ann
