Magnolia At The Old House

The tremendous magnolia trees that flank our old house are blooming now.

We were trimming a climbing rose and I noticed this one magnolia bloom hugging a telephone pole very low so I could snap some images without getting on a ladder {the trees are at least thirty-four feet tall}.

These images are taken with my wee little Kodak Easy Share camera.

The petal bruising reminds me we are all damaged in some way. Some more easily than others.

I am linking with Tracie at Fishtail Cottage for Cottage Flora Thursdays.

  3. The magnolias here aren't in bloom quite yet. I love their lemony scent and how pretty the flowers are! And you are right, everyone is bruised in one way or another, I think it shows that you've lived life if you have a few bruises!

  7. Woop Woop! I can leave comments again! The photos of your Magnolia are absolutely awesome. I love them. We have two magnolia trees in our garden. One pink and one cream, and I love it in the spring when the flowers are in bloom.

  20. Olive, your magnolias and photos are stunning.
We've all had a few bruises, I guess that's what makes us stronger and learn compassion.

It's so weird, I remember leaving a comment on this and the previous post but they have somehow disappeared. It must have been during another blogger problem. It so strange they are not here.
