Mini White Pumpkins

More little wonky white pumpkins.
I promised I would tell you a secret about these little darlings.

Guess what?

I bought them last year.

They have been in a bowl in the kitchen or dining room and have no sign of atrophy.
They were purchased from Publix 's produce department last fall.

The table was photographed last week but I can assure you they look just the same this week.
If you can you might try saving your mini whites for next year.

Saves money this way too!

  1. This is the first time I've seen white pumpkins. They look nice. Do you save the seeds. I'm not crazy about pumpkins to eat but they look good on those pedestals. Love the copper watering cans too

  2. I have had some that lasted this long also..and I left them outside!!! Go figure. I believe it has to do with having air circulate around them?
    Regardless, makes me happy. :D

  4. I usually mix faux with real ones, and one year I forgot to throw one of the bigger ones out. Let's just say it and the surrounding box of decor didn't fare so well, yucky-poo! LOVE those adorable candlesticks! They sort of look like witchy socks. te he! xoxo

  5. Who would have thought this. Now I will definitely get some for this year and try letting them hang around. Maybe I will give them names too. Ann

  6. I love the white pumpkins so much more than the orange ones. You don't see many white ones in the UK unless, of course, you grow them yourself.
I cannot believe that you have had them for a year Olive....they look pristine. Are you sure that they are not ceramic ones !! haha.
I'm going to see if I can find some white ones over here. XXXX

  8. The mini white pumpkins are so cute & I had no idea they lasted like that. Your photography is gorgeous!

My son picked up a green coconut about 100 years ago. We never removed the green part to get to the nut. I laid it on a shelf and it just dried out. Now I have a wonderful old coconut that is a beautiful brown.

  16. I'm so amazed how good they still look! Are they hard? I kept mine until about a month ago because they had gone soft and wrinkly! We have enough of that round here! Haha!
