White Fall Table


The urn I painted has joined vintage pottery and a garage sale lamp on our white table.


This is a good example of mixing old pottery with new. 
The large white cachepot in an unmarked McCoy.


We bought this shade for six dollars, on clearance, from Target last year. 
We were waiting for a lamp to pair it with. 
Finally we came across this lamp on Saturday at a garage sale.
Total cost nine dollars. 


The burlap like shade, lit, gives a soft glow to our yellow walls.

    So pretty! I love the shot that includes the books. Sorry to hear about your daffodils. That's just plain annoying! We have moles here, but they just eat grubs, not my daffodils, thank goodness, and hopefully not my garlic. Then again, there's some pest for every plant. lol

    Olive, I like all your pottery. The plaid shade looks great. When I was young, my husband bought me a McCoy cookie jar for Christmas. My oldest daughter now owns it. It's is special to me.Smiles, Susie

    It's all so very pretty! I have that same shade...got it at a salvage store that carries a lot of Target merchandise ( I have two)...still need to do a makeover on some lamps that I got for $2.50 each.

    I love the burlap shade. I have such trouble picking out shades. I get the lamps I love but do not know what shades to us. How tall, how side and where on the lamp the bottom of the shade should go. Ahhh. As you can see....I am clueless. But, you did good.

    Olive, I think the white and soft golds of this grouping is fall at it's best. It is stunning... it almost glows with a soft golden light!

    Hi Olive, Your have an eye for finding things and putting them together for a very designer look. I love how the pattern on the urn and the shade are so different but look so great together! Great vignette and I like your price tag........

    Great job Olive, love the white urn and lamp together. Great finds to use together. The dried flowers look great, I've been drying some hydrangeas for two weeks, so I'll see how they look. Hope to use them soon.

    I LOVE LOVE this vignette and white/cream vases, pots, etc. Now I'm KICKING myself, because I saw this lamp shade at Target and passed on it because I didn't have a lamp it would work with. Thanks for sharing your paint color. I love old McCoy or Haeger pieces especially in white, and it's good to know a color that will work with that.
