A little house with chippy green paint.
On a lonely highway in the middle of rural Georgia.
It’s age is undetermined. But old enough.
The rust is just right on the roof.

I love that house. With my family from WV, it reminds me of little old wooden houses I saw in my childhood.
ReplyDeleteI would repair it, add plumbing and electric and live in it. By repairing it, I mean it could still look old and chippy.
It might not be the best place to live, I don't know - but it's beautiful to look at.

I enjoy seeing the old houses and barns. I often wonder if the walls could talk what stories they could tell. I do hate to see one that is falling down and should be torn down. To me that looks sad.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Olive! You have a great eye. Rural middle Georgia is a heavenly place to live!
ReplyDeleteThat picture is worth a 1,000 words Olive, it is AWESOME for one:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, Olive! I adore that little house with its rust and chippy paint! You and Joe are definitely drawn to the same things we are. Wouldn't you love to have a peek inside?

What a charming building. We drove through Virginia and West Virginia a few years ago and saw lots of buildings like that - so quaint. I just wanted to go and explore them. I"m glad you stopped and took some photos for us.
ReplyDeleteOlive, this house looks so inviting. Love that someone put in French doors. It is absolutely charming. Wouldn't it be a cute little getaway? laurie
