Old Castles of Britain Tablescape

Old Castles of Britain china by Johnson Brothers
is perfect for a fall buffet near our deck.

Thrifted Siam flatware and layered linens make for a casual yet warm setting.

You can see our enormous lantana behind the table.
The lantana plays well with the trio of orange wee-b-little pumpkins.
A client of Joe's grew the larger pumpkin in the basket urn.

  1. I like this theme of castles of Britain, and your table is gorgeous and done on a budget. I visited quite a few castles when my husband and I visited Great Britain so that theme resonates with me.

  16. Lovely autumnal table Olive - does the china tell you which castles they are?

    1. Thanks Rosemary. Yes, each piece names the castle. The estate sale had about 300 pieces of it and I could have bought all of it easily if I had the physical space.

  17. What a great find on the china, Olive! I just love it! Your table looks just lovely. Can't believe your lantana is so big. I planted it one year in New York in our full sun front bed and it did do great there. Not as big as yours, but about the size of a small bush by the end of the season.

    1. If we do one one thing big it's grow lantana. We have another one this size on the other side of the deck.

  40. My GiGi had brown transferware
    from England and this reminds
me a lot of that.....one bowl made
it through the years and my mom
gave it to me ~ a bowl. Last year
she gifted me five more, which
    she found on Replacements. I
    hope to continue adding pieces,
as I love it, especially this time
of year. Your pattern is really
    lovely with the pumpkins and
    the rest of the tablescape!
