Dog & Dogwoods

Shelley Boo is looking out the window into the front yard watching for any squirrel. He shares my view that they must be scooted away from the bird feeders and therefore also must be chased off the property entirely if he is outside with us.

This is the view of the front yard with our beloved yet sick dogwoods blooming. Both grainy images were snapped with my iPhone.

Happy Friday

  1. I love dogwoods...sorry yours are sick. And Shelley would get along well with our pups who think that every cat, squirrel, or mole is a mortal enemy!

  2. Hi Olive. Well, your Dogwood blossom is beautiful even though the tree is poorly! Shelley Boo is doing a grand job there. We have the same problem with squirrels and the bird feeders. Enjoy your weekend my friend.

  3. Our dogs would do the same at our previous home. They DID NOT want one dingety dang squirrel in their yard and chased all away.

  7. Your dogwoods are sick? Well you can't tell from the window view. They are stunning and I'm jealous because we are in full sun and can't grow them.

  16. I love dogwoods and miss the Kousa {spelling?} dogwoods we had at our old house. I wound up going with that particular species because of a disease I heard of hitting the "regular" dogwoods in recent years. I haven't seen any here in Ohio, although they do have some trees I didn't see in New York that are just as lovely.
