To celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary we took a day trip to Ridge Spring, South Carolina. Founded in 1771, it has several antique stores and a wonderful restaurant Juniper which we most certainly will visit again. Juniper is filled with about twenty sets of vintage 1950's laminate kitchen table and chairs. The vintage sign above is from a closed restaurant. I hope someone saves this sign.
We used to play Ridge Spring-Monetta in basketball but I had not been there in thirty years, This trip is thanks to Donna from Distressed Donna Down Home who told me how charming the town was when we had lunch together last week.
We have found a home for this primitive bench which I will share later {my goodness, I am The Crazy Yard Ornament Lady}. We have many errands today and since Joe took the day off to spend with me I shall see all of you tonight. I hope you had a lovely Easter. The last image is of peach trees-this part of the South is peach country.
Joy and Peace

Happy Anniversary! That looks like so much fun. Maybe I can go there the next time I am in SC!
ReplyDeleteLove that bench and yum SC peaches.
ReplyDeleteHey! You were down in my neck of the woods! I live in the big white Greek Revival house right next door to the mayor (the owner of antique store in the great big old house). Ridge Spring is a WONDERFUL little town and while we've only lived there a year, we've been warmly welcomed. Juniper is a great place to eat. The food is divine and the wait staff is top notch! Hope you guys will come back soon!
