The
primitive bench we bought last weekend fits comfortably behind the vintage rattan sofa in the living room (loving room). The sofa is covered in an old chenille spread because of our puppy. I have always been drawn to primitive benches and all primitive pieces. Perhaps it is because my dad bought me a primitive bench. I can count on one hand the items daddy bought me in my adult life. That is my own chippy chair from when I was a toddler. All sweet memories my friends.

DeleteHi Olive,
ReplyDeleteLove the bench and, Fairhope Supply Co. beat me to it about the ' Loving ' Room. HAHA
.....and, is that a massive chopping board that I can see in the distance ? .... very Jamie Oliver !! XXXX
LOVE this....so cute. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteWe have a bench similar to yours, except that ours is a bit clumpier and the legs a bit thicker.(Was left here when we moved in) It's always referred to as 'the pig bench' because it was used to dress a pig after it had been slaughtered. (don't even like to think about it). Love your little chair.
ReplyDeleteThat bench is the essence of excellence.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Olive, my guest home is done in Primitives. Love their pieces too:)
ReplyDeleteI love it...great shots Olive!!
ReplyDeletePrecious memories! I have a small primitive wooden bench on my front porch that my Dad showed up with one day. It is so dear to me and always brings a smile to my face.

You are finding the best little treasures! A girl can never have too many benches. That can be a table or a nice place to sit. Love it!

This is absolutely gorgeous Olive. I love the bench and it looks great in that space. I love the chenille spread too, perfect for a puppy. I have one of my mom’s old chenille spreads that I treasure.

Your childhood chair shows off the bench in its best light. I had a vision of a little girl sitting there right before I read it was yours. Now I'm psychic, apparently... I love that big chopping board too- couldn't help seeing it. Ann
