I am off to two estate sales.
Color me crazy.
It is below freezing and if these people have their wares on the lawn I am turning around.
The above small plates are marked Occupied Japan and were only a dollar at a local flea.
I am searching for a larger bowl marked the same for a customer.
That is going to be a long search I fear.
The Minerva bust is growing on me especially tarted up in pearls.
Joe and I will be having meatloaf for supper made with oatmeal to hold it together.
What are you doing on this fine Saturday?
I am setting this to auto post.
It is a test of sorts (for me).
Just call me FancyPants from now on.
I am trying to grow with this blog my peeps.
I am back and the post did not auto post.
Any ideas as to what I did wrong?
My mouse on the computer is hinky too.
Just call me NonFancy Imperfect Techno Olive.

Hey FancyPants! Sorry, I can`t help you. Blogger has been doing all kinds of strange things here lately. Half the time I can`t even comment.
ReplyDeleteHow did you do at the estate sales?

xo
i have never gotten things to auto post, even when I set them.
ReplyDeleteMe I am still being lazy instead of laundry! I can't help it....
Olive-I have just stumbled upon your blog--and am devouring the back posts. I have added it to my favorites--Beth
ReplyDeleteThank you Beth.
DeleteJust make sure that is you prepare the post the day before that you change the date on the auto post. It should show you in your post lineup what the date and time is. Keep at it. You feel so good when you figure something out. I know I do.
ReplyDeleteI changed the date and time perhaps it was a Blogger issue and I am not incompetent!
DeleteWish I could be there, Setting in a boring shop, with people saying, we're just looking. Richard from My Old Historic House.
ReplyDeletewe would have fun but Richard but it was scary cold.
DeleteHope you find your treasures. It's too cold here too. Brrr..really cold..and windy..Staying in wishing for warmer days to go treasure hunting too! Blogger is having lots of problems lately.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend,
Shirley
It's below freezing here too. I have been PVA ing the hall after stripping all the wallpaper off. I had a nice log fire next to it in the front room and the radio on, so a good Saturday here as well.
ReplyDeletePlease loan me the will to strip off wallpaper Molly.
DeleteWhen you changed the date and or time, did you then hot Publish Post? I know if you just Save it, it won't auto post. When you hit Publish Post it should show as Scheduled on your list of posts. Or, maybe it was just Blogger being weird.
ReplyDeletehot should be hit.
DeleteThat is what I did wrong-you are brilliant Pam and continue to be Joe's favorite but don't tell anyone.
DeleteMinerva is our local god here in Bath, Olive.
ReplyDeleteI'll be interested to know how you auto post. Love your pic, know you must have enjoyed the shopping. Love the header and would love to know how you got the look on the first pic.
ReplyDeleteHope your enjoying your weekend. I'm organizing and cleaning today, perfect timing because it's cold outside!

Emily, that first image is done in Pencil Sketch Effect in the Picnik editing program. Not difficult at all.
DeleteUsually auto post works for me, but one time it didn't. Not sure why. Probably a blogger fluke.
ReplyDeletethis fine saturday ... I'm repurposing old cow pictures ... shucks, you already knew that!
ReplyDeleteSunny gave good advice...double check your basic time set up also....if your posts are running on the same time that you are on....because if you don't the computer may be on Eastern and your posts on Mountain....just a thought. You didn't say if the sales were outside or not....!! hope you found some treats!!
ReplyDeleteTell us how to you auto post. That would make a good post.Joann
ReplyDeleteOlive~ I ADORE your new header!! Love your bust tarted up with pearls too :) It is below freezing here with an ARTIC wind blowing, so no outdoor activities for us today!
ReplyDeleteGlad you figured out how to auto post, Olive. I remember feeling quite superior when I learned it, and then came off my high horse when it didn't work the next time. Blogger always manages to humble me somehow. Hope you got some good stuff and I like your new masthead! Ann
ReplyDeleteI have never had any luck with the auto post. I've tried twice and both times it didn't work. I am no help there! I think your new header is fantastic. How did you do that?
ReplyDeleteDiane from The Blue Ridge Gal blog did it for me. She is wonderful.
DeleteOh...and how did you set your comments to have that reply link?
ReplyDeleteMe again...forget the two comments before this. I just saw your previous post. :o)
ReplyDeleteI can help you! But first....what's a mouse? You probably need to get a cat.
ReplyDeleteGot a cat and he is divinely lazy-more like my baby. He would invite the mouse to sleep with us perhaps.
DeleteI was just going to suggest that you make sure you hit Publish after you've set the date and time, but I see Pam said the same thing. I auto post quite a bit and it sure is handy!

I LOVE your new header! Aren't you the creative lady!!! I've used auto post a couple of times...once it worked and once it did not. I think it all depends how Blogger is feeling on any given day.
ReplyDeleteIt's damp here in southern California today but I'm going to try to get down to the Long Beach Flea Market before it rains. That's how my Sunday is shaping up so far. I hope you are having a great weekend and staying warm and cozy(after the estate sales, of course!).
I am going to call you Hilarious Olive because you make me smile...especially love Minerva with the pearls...looks like a keeper to me. :-) Mona
