Bliss in the Garden

Ranunculus

This is my first time growing ranunculus and they are splendid. 
They make a lovely cut flower too.

Tomorrow, if all works out, I am visiting a sweet lady I recently met at the beauty shop and she is letting me dig up several kinds of day lilies. I remember a time when my mother traded plants or gave plants away. I offered this lady some of my ghost plants and she said she said she might take them.

    I'm doing a post on ranunculus tomorrow! I bought my first one this year and oddly enough I can't figure out if it's going to be an annual or perennial? I'm not sure that I have ever bought a flower without knowing a lot about it before, but it was just so pretty! Clovis sort of matches your flower, BTW.

    Ranunculus are a great cut flower just make sure you dead head as soon as the flowers start to fade so you keep getting blooms. Just gorgeous! Love time in the garden in sprind.

    Those look like they are related to poppies - are they perhaps. Trading plants is a great way to get different types. Clovis, you look quite handsome in "your" garden. Ann

    Day lilies are wonderful. No one eats them, they are so easy to care for, you can divide them and have more, and your will be free!

    Oh those red flowers are so pretty! I've had the fortune of receiving cuttings from some people too and it's always fun to watch them grow knowing they came from someone elses yard.

    I love your photo of your cat. On of my cats (Buddy) always follows me around the garden when I'm outside. I love Ranunculus'. I think my zone is too cold for them to do well, but it would be worth a try because they are so pretty!
