Happy Friday My Fine Feathered Friends
I have an affinity for vintage funeral baskets (I have six).
Joe asks are we starting a funeral parlor.
No, I reply, we do not have enough funeral baskets yet.
I am traveling today to pick up my kiddo at college
and go garage salen in Athens on Saturday.
What are your weekend plans?
joy and peace

Love your baskets! I love mine beyond reason. Especially the metal ones. Your weekend sounds perfect! I was lucky enough to have one of my kiddos home for a few days this week. All the way from Connecticut!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good weekend. I know you love time with your girl. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a new one on me!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the child!

Hi Olive...
ReplyDeleteHmmm...you have six funeral baskets...and to think...I don't even have one! Hehe! I must remedy this situation! Love your pretty basket full of beautiful hydrangeas, Olive! What a lovely photo...thanks for sharing with us!
I just read your sweet note, my friend! Thanks for coming by...I sooo enjoyed your visit!
Have a wonderfully sweet weekend!
Chari
Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your salen Olive, think I shall probably be having another dig in my flower borders if the rain keeps off.
ReplyDeleteI have one funeral basket. I'd love more, too. Nothing planned - Don has to work. Some cleaning, a lot of crocheting for the shop, the usual. Have a great weekend!

Love the photo of those hydrangeas. Beautiful! Gosh, I've never thought about getting funeral baskets before, but I'm sure you put yours to good use, knowing you! Have a lovely time with your daughter.
ReplyDeleteI love them too although I don't have any. That one is especially pretty in the photo. But....I ADORE your new header. I haven't been here in awhile because I just don't have the time to read like I used to and then came here today and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love those old Funeral baskets, I could kick myself for not picking up one of the large free standing ones at an antique store about 20 years ago, it was only $20!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend~
Cheryl
I am so jealous! I love funeral baskets, but haven't found the right one yet. Preferably, I would like one that never went to a funeral.
ReplyDeleteLove the twist of the handle!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a "free" weekend for me, I don't even have dinner with the boys this Sunday. Have fun:@)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, so that's a funeral basket! Love the tin one:) I'll be looking for me one of those!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your baskets Olive! Enjoy your weekend with your daughter, Gail

Olive, I remember seeing baskets like these . Your post from yesterday..eewweee, I hate spiders. Or should I say, I am scared of them. Hope your weekend is fun. Smiles, xo, Susie
ReplyDeleteCleaning and having company tomorrow!

I love em too Olive! Have a great weekend! Vanna
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a lovely weekend, gardening here but it is too windy to achieve much.
ReplyDeleteShoot, another thing I wish I had : )
ReplyDeleteI think I wish I was living your weekend and not mine that has been full of laundry since we got home from my daughters. I hope you are having a wonderful time dear friend.
hugs from me...
Olive, another thing I did not know about you. If you come home with a horse-drawn hearse, then I think Joe may start to worry. Ann
