Buffet For Fall



 I have had the Staffordshire pitcher on the right for many years. 
The Old Castles of Britain pitcher on the left I acquired this summer.
 I also bought the Old Castles of Britain plates and salad plates. 
 One of my near tablescapes may appear soon. 
Brown transferware says fall to me.




This is almost a minimalist buffet for me. 
I like to layer and layer and did not this time. 
The cream cornucopias were picked up at a church sale two weeks ago. 
 The rustic urns I bought for a song and will likely fill them with pumpkins. 


I have yet to leave the house after my surgery.
 I am a getting stir crazy. 
Going to the bank, later today, is beginning to sound thrilling.  
And it is raining buckets.

    Love your vignette and the mix of cream colored cornucopias with the twiggy pumpkins and your brown transferware. Are the cornucopias McCoy?

    The brown transferware is beautiful! The brown and cream on your buffet is lovely. I also like the tole pieces in your previous post.

    Olive, I think this is your prettiest one ever! Every piece is great in it's own right and together they are beautiful. Brown transferware jugs are so harvesty and I like to put sunflowers in them. Well done! ~ Maureen

    Olive, If I were there, I would take you to lunch today, just so you would not be stir crazy.:):) I hate when I get that way, so I know where you are coming from. I like what you have done to the buffet. I also like brown transfer ware. I am thinking about starting a collection of white pichers. Have some fun today but be careful. Smiles, Susie

    Beautiful! I adore brown transferware and it's on my dining room buffet. And I have a set of creamy cornucopia bookends I need to pull out. Soooo... Looks like your vignette might be the one that pushes me into action! :-)

    Beautiful pitchers. I believe they are elegant enough be called ewers! It's raining here, too. It seems to be raining from the Atlantic through to the Mississippi today. Good!

    I think minimalist can be a very good thing in decorating. I sure don't enjoy dusting on and around a whole lot of objects. Keep it simple. And I do LOVE your buffet by the way. :-)
