McCoy:Two Favorites

I have had this turquoise piece of McCoy pottery for so long I do not remember where I bought it.
Or what I paid for it.
Which is unusual for me as I normally remember both.

This green urn came from a local flea market where 90% of the goods are
new and cheap but on that day I found a guy with McCoy.
This piece is fragile because the lip is cracked.
Because of that I got a good price for it.
It has a bird on the front side.
I have several other McCoy pieces I will save for another time.
These two are favorites of mine.

  2. You McCoy pieces are lovely, Olive! I thinks it's wonderful that Joe would go antique shopping for you when you were unable to go. He's a sweetie. Hope you are feeling better, my friend.

  3. I wasn't aware of McCoy until years ago when I would go to country auctions. It's amazing what you can learn there. The auctioneer would pointedly remark that what he was holding in his hands was a McCoy vase and the bidding would begin! He would get a fair price for these however, for the life of me I can't remember what. Those were the best days! You have some pretty pieces, Olive!

  5. I LOVE McCoy. I have never seen those 2 designs. McCoy made so many differing things. The color is what makes them so special. It is hard to recreate.

I use to see a lot of McCoy in the vintage/antique shops years ago, but not so much now.
