Three fringed tablecloths found me.
I placed them on our chippy patio table to enjoy the
last of our flowers and the fallen leaves.
The nearly dead pansies are looking pretty good now.
This darker aqua tablecloth has dogwood blossoms which is
appropriate with the fallen dogwood leaves.
Both the aqua tablecloths blend with my Mikasa Garden Harvest
dishes and my set of vintage Ballerina dishes.
This sweet Christmas tablecloth, with fringe, is the third one to find me.
I do suggest you place fringed tablecloths in the dryer
for a few minutes to soften the fringe.
I love to iron but ironing fringe is difficult my darlings.
The platter is CC's great grandmother's.
Joy and Peace

ReplyDeleteOlive, the thing I love about finding vintage items is the instant memories that pop up in my head. I haven't seen one of those fringed tablecloths in ages. As soon as I saw your pictures I remembered the ones my mother had and a sweet tear came to my eye. I think the Christmas one is so pretty - they all are. Thanks for sharing your finds. Ann
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and so retro. Your back yard sitting area is pretty this time of year with all of the plants out there. Sometimes, I think fallen leaves look cozy rather than messy. I'm sure I'm probably the only one that thinks that way though. ha!
ReplyDeleteHi Olive! Oh, I love these little olden tablecloths. I have never found any with fringe. I love that. This is a really sweet one you're showing and the color is so now. I have a very similar Christmas one but alas, no fringe!
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

ReplyDeleteLovely! I'm a vintage tablecloth nut. I'm sure the lilac and dogwood designs are by Wilendur, always coveted by the collector. The Christmas design is lovely, I found a similar fringed one recently, and will try your dryer suggestion, great idea! What a lovely setting in your garden.
ReplyDeleteThey are both lovely Olive!
