I found this French bust two weeks ago at an estate sale.
The sale was at a house on the banks of the Savannah River.
The owner was obviously a fan of French objects.
They sold some French chairs that were gorgeous.
Too bad I was driving the Mini.
I bought one of these rosaries there and she had literally dozens for sale.
This bust had some broken plaster at it's waist so the estate agent
discounted the price for me to fifteen dollars.
I repaired it easily.
I am enjoying a mostly neutral color scheme in the living room.
Not that it will stay that way.
Winks
happy thrifting

I don't think I would ever run across a beauty like that here in Northern Minnesota. But I will hope. She's gorgeous. Love the rosaries too.

ReplyDeleteLucky you to have your own beautiful Marie Antoinette, and only $15 - how do you do it? She looks especially fetching with the rosaries draped around her. I like the white pumpkin too.
ReplyDeleteShe is just beautiful Olive!... and I love your rosaries... I always wonder how anyone can part with those... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteThat is such a lovely vignette. You know to drive something bigger to an estate sale if you can.
ReplyDeleteThere are days when I think I would enjoy having someone to do my hair. Your lady must have been "to the manor born". Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteDearest Olive I'm sorry to say that she looks absolutely frightful in your home....and hence should come quickly to mine! *wink*...Well of course I'm lying, but of course I DO want her to come to my house! LOL! How fabulous! I'm green with envy! Vanna

She's gorgeous! You really do need a van now don't you? Not as fun as the Mini, but think of all the huge pieces you could haul home in it!
ReplyDeleteIt is very much on purpose that I am not driving around in Joe's truck. The wee car limits me:}
