The green chippy chair I found for three dollars and a wicker green funeral basket (this one still has it's galvanized liner) filled with dried hydrangeas from our Nikko Blue are now in front of the sunny bay window. The green chippy chair makes every item I place on it look better. The chair is one of my favorite thrifty finds.
Yesterday CC and I stayed out all day and I never picked up the laptop. We ate Vietnamese food for lunch which is our favorite Asian food and then we shopped at a large Asian market. If CC is home that is simply what we do. The schedule for the week is full, full, full.

ReplyDeleteYour chair is so cool. I love old, choppy chairs, they are the best for displaying our treasures. I have a few scattered around. I'm sure you will find a great use for the basket, maybe something colorful this summer.

ReplyDeleteThe green is so refreshing! And to be able to pop out for Vietnamese food: what a treat! No Vietnamese restaurants in little Juneau (or even littler Douglas!), I'm afraid!

Love your old chair! It has a lot of charm with the layers of paint on it. I've never tried Vietnamese food before. I heard there are a lot of good places like that to eat in Norcross off Buford Hwy. I remember Anthony Bourdain touring that area and eating some of that food saying how good it was.
ReplyDeleteLove the green!
ReplyDeleteThat funeral basket is beautiful, Olive! I love the tall narrowness of it. It does look great on your green chippy chair! I can't wait for my hydrangeas to show some signs of life.
ReplyDeleteLove your green chair. If what you say is true, I"m coming over to sit in in. I'll call first (** xo
ReplyDeleteYou've gotta know how much I LOVE that chair Olive! Don't you just love steals like that??? I think the funeral basket is a wonderful keeper too!

Green is the foundation of spring, and your vignette is simply lovely! It welcomes and captures the essence of vintage- comfort, joy, and gorgeous dried hydrangeas. Enjoy your full week!
ReplyDeleteThat is one pretty basket Olive....great fine for sure! My mom has a chair similar to that one but it's pale yellow!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Shari
I love all your latest posts here and above. Just love the green chair. Uh. I wish I had it! You did an incredible job on the black table and if I strutted black, I'd get it. Anyway, my little room wouldn't hold it. I'd trip over it and break a toe. I have done than you know, many times. You are so popular that you probably no longer have time for my little posts. I do miss our talks and your visits. One day I'm gonna pop over and go to church with you. I've been visiting around.
