Vintage Easter Basket Two

This my second vintage Easter basket. Don't tell CC but this basket is for her. She is coming home tomorrow for spring break. I went with hot pinks because I also have this vintage tablecloth that has wonderful spring colors in it.

I had no idea what to do with all that pink filler so I piled it into the glass hurricanes.

This sweet bunny had to come home with me from a garage sale. Lest you think I keep everything much I buy thrifting is sold. By the way the chocolate in CC's basket came from Aldi's on the cheap. I go there weekly to buy fruit and vegetables.

  1. I love the chairs with their more traditional look as a backdrop for the whimsical foreground...

  2. Real live chocolate!!! It all looks very festive. Can't wait for Easter to get here so I can quit feeling guilty about eating my son's Easter candy (which I always replace and then eat again - it's a vicious cycle). You scored on the Easter baskets this year!

  7. Hi Olive. I just know that CC is going to love that pretty little Easter Basket! I really do love that sweet little bunny that you picked up at the garage sale. It is so unusual and a lovely colour as well. You really do have a good eye for these things.

  11. I love how cute it looks all filled with pink paper shredding and foil eggs. Don't Easter baskets take you back to your childhood? I know they do for me! I adored Easter just for the candy alone!! LOL! It was always a tradition that every basket had a chocolate bunny in it too and of course, I've passed that down to my kids. Your daughter will feel like a kid again when you give it to her!

  13. The pink Easter grass is so pretty and fresh. With boys around, we have green, blue, yellow grass with eggs that look like sports balls or camo pattern. EEeewwww!!!!

  15. That's mighty pink. You're making me want to look around for the basket a dear old lady made for my girls, forty years ago. The basket was old then, but it's still on a shelf.

  16. All that pink is just so festive looking! I found a leftover bag of the very same pink filler in my basement the other day. Now I just need to find a cute basket to fill with it!
