Fancy, my dear friend and her grandson walking down the curvy road from our house to her house. We had been sitting on the ground, in our yard, digging in the dirt. He thought it was great fun. All kids should dig in the dirt. This big kid certainly loves too.
Thank you all for commiserating with me about my ever so slow way of finishing a painting project. I am happy to know I am not alone on the I-May Never-Finish-A-Project front.
CC leaves in the morning after church. Her spring break has been swifter than painting with chalk paint. Today we shall stay home in our pajamas and talk, talk ,talk some more:-}
Happy Saturday
Olive
The picture is adorable. Enjoy your day in your pjs. Sounds like heaven. :)
ReplyDeleteI know you've had a a good week! It goes by fast when you're having fun. Love your photo today...very sweet!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photograph Olive ..... your friends grandson looks very much like our grandson and the same age I think.
ReplyDeleteI am not doing anything today .... it is snowing outside and cold and miserable. My husband has just gone out for a walk in the slushy snow but I'm going to watch tennis on the tele and eat !! haha.
Have a lovely weekend Olive. XXXX
Such a cute picture....
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect way to spend a Saturday too! Have fun :o)

Olive...What a precious shot. I just adore taking pictures of my granddaughter walking hand in hand with her mom or dad when she does not have a clue I am shooting. These type photos are my favorites. Please tell your "almost son" if he ever gets up this way on the AT, to call us. Bud has hiked it end to end and continues to hike each summer up in the mts of NH and Maine. He and I both run shuttles and help out the hikers in any way we can. Hope he does not freeze...we are to really get cold weather in the next couple of day up in this neck of the woods. Bud says there is still a lot of ice and snow up in the Blue Ridge. Is he just starting out at Springer Mt.? genie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo - I'm still in my jammies too! It will be a good rainy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteA chilly, rainy day and I am still in my jammies. I had to turn the heat back on and plans for painting furniture have been stowed away for now. Great photo of your friend leaving.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute picture, Olive! Sounds like a wonder way to spend the last day with CC.
ReplyDeleteA lovely mental picture of you and CC and girl stuff.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a great day planned-enjoy:@)
ReplyDeleteOlive, Before you know it, that picture will be of you walking with your granchildren...enjoy your girl day with CC...wish I had thought to enjoy those days more with my own daughter..I miss them....
ReplyDeletelove, Mona
That looks like such a great walk in the sun among the tall trees , hand in hand with Granny
ReplyDeletesweet sweet picture
What a darling picture!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day with your daughter, Olive. It must be a joy to be so close that you two can spend the whole day happily talking to each other.
ReplyDeleteDigging in the dirt is therapeutic but pajama talks are even better. I'm so excited that I have a sister sleepover to look forward to here in April! And we just finished all the painting in my bathroom/dressing room yesterday after nearly a month of my husband doing work in there in his spare time. Heavenly to have it finished. My patience was running out.
ReplyDeleteHallo there Olive. What a touching picture. I'm sure your friend will love to have a copy. I agree with you that little ones should dig in the dirt. I have some lovely photos of Eli & Ruby playing with worms out in the garden! Aaaaw, you will miss CC when she goes back to College again :( I hope it won't be too long before you're together again. Daughters really are the best! Take care.

Such a sweet photo. A childhood friend's daughter is named Fancy. I had never heard that name before and now there are two of them.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo and it looks so warm and sunny where you are, Olive (sigh). Safe journey back for CC until she sees you again.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a delightful Saturday!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your daughter enjoyed spending her Spring break with you. Sounds like y'all made the most of it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had such a good visit with your daughter. Love the picture. One of my grandchildren's best memories of my Mom and Dad's house was the fact that they would always let them make mud pies on the patio. They just hosed the patio and the kids down when they were finished. But the kids (now grown) still talk about making mudpies and Grammy and Pops.
ReplyDeletePrecious memories.

Hi Olive! What a sweet snap and I agree, all little ones should get their tiny hands dirty. I know how time flies when you're with your loved ones. I'm sure your visit with CC was wonderful.
ReplyDeletebe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
This is a sweet picture and it looks like you are having a great day there. I know you had a lovely time with CC this week and you both needed that. Abby has her spring break next week and I'm sure we will do some shopping and lunches. Her school is just downtown and she lives here at home, but she comes and goes all day and evening and then works weekends so we never have time together. I am so looking forward to it. Daughters are the best!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Hi Olive, I love the sweet image of your friend and her little grandson walking down the road home. I know a little something about those special times spent with our children.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring Olive. Oh, I love that header!

You have such a great handle on seizing the moments that matter. Digging in the dirt with a toddler and pj chatting with a daughter are way more important than finishing a project or any of the things that seem to gobble up our time. You know how to slow down and smell the roses!
ReplyDeleteOlive, I love the photo of your neighbor and her grandson, it is touching. I know you are going to miss your sweet girl when she returns to school. Get extra hugs from Joe.That will help. I have been visiting your site but I can't always leave a comment. Our computer is slowly dying. Hope it last till I can go get a new one. Take care. xoxo,Susie
