Hotel Sign

Since making these cabbage rose cafe curtains the spot over the frame less window seemed bare. I had looked at this metal Hotel sign in an antique mall near CC's university two times, over a period of a year, before I finally bought it. I thought it would fit above the window and it did.

I sanded the edges to expose the metal. I thought about painting it but then kept it this grey. It is of undetermined age. I do not think it is vintage but Joe and I like how it looks in our small kitchen. It brings an industrial edge to all my florals.

I had an interesting time taking pictures of the sign. I ended up sitting in the floor. Shelley thought I was there to wrestle with him. This household revolves around that adorable German Shepherd of course.

  5. Great new addition to the kitchen and the curtains are perfect. Funny the minute we sit on the floor our German Shepard does the same thing. She also likes to play chase me. She grabs a toy of hers and makes us chase her around. Seems odd but I know many German Shepards play this game. I think it may just be there nature. Does yours do that?

  19. What took you so long Olive?! I love your sign over the window, perfect for the space. I think the table vignette with what I think may be a Camellia bloom looks lovely, matches the color in the curtains.
I know about the fur ball love too!!!!
