Isn't it gorgeous against the old boards. Love the shade.
ReplyDeleteI love the pretty purple flowers! Happy Weekend:@)
ReplyDeleteYou mow off those pretty little flowers? Your iphone photo is amazingly sharp. You almost don't need your fancy camera anymore.
ReplyDeleteThat would be fine with me:}
Deletebeautiful little lavender bits of happiness!!
ReplyDeleteCan't grow vinca here - we had it in Kansas when I was growing up - in fact, that photo could be Kansas.
ReplyDeleteWe mowed it too.
I had a vinca vine in my bike basket last year and one of my readers warned me to trim the vinca vine before it took over. I don't think it would happen here in my zone 3 garden. I think they are annuals here.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, Olive.
ReplyDeletewe love the stuff. it has been growing on the side yard & back yard for some time now ... love the flowers. ( :
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I wouldn't mind having an overgrowth of that pretty vine!
ReplyDeleteI love the quality of the pictures my daughter takes with her Iphone. I would like to get one just for the camera!!
XO,
Jane
I love vinca. I started with five solid color and five variegated. I now have half a yard full. you are right I just mow over what I don't want or invite neighbors to come over and pull some up. Beautiful photograph!
ReplyDeleteBlooms in the garden! I still have some snow, if you'd like some variety in your landscape! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! We have some of those planted, too, but they aren't as vigorous here!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot - like a still life - Vinca is the correct name for the plant but here we tend to call it periwinkle blue. I have one with a lovely variegated leaf, and you are right it is rampant.
ReplyDeleteI like vinca. It's hardiness and prettiness are win-win in my book.
ReplyDeleteOh, the green vines and the purple flowers are so pretty against the old wood. I would love to see some green here. We are still covered with snow.
ReplyDeleteWe have Vinca running amok up the side of our house. The blue flowers are pretty, but it's an absolute thug when it gets hold - no flowers here for a long time yet.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I've got that Vinca vine in my garden, Olive! It certainly does spread, but the little blue flowers are very pretty. Do hope you're feeling a little better.
ReplyDeletethanks for showing something GREEN and something BLOOMING! Spring come on!
ReplyDeleteThis is picture perfect. I have nothing in my yard, but hard, dry ground. The rain didn't help my brick yard one bit. Ugh. I need a landscaper. HA! No doing. I can't even get daffodils to bloom. Someone gave me some 3 years ago to remember Mama each Spring. They have not come up. The lily and Amaryllis that were pulled up from the old house have refused to budge. Oh well, I'll enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous photo, Olive!
ReplyDeleteYour weeds look better than my flower beds!!!
Hugs,
Patti
