Purple Hammock

We go through hammocks like some women go through shoes.
Here is our newest one.
Can we say Purple?
It is handwoven and it will not last either.
Not in this heat and under our pine trees.
No, we are not taking it down and putting it up again and again.

Cost of hand woven hammock was five
dollars at a garage sale last summer.

Enjoyment of seeing our MINI WEE'S in it last weekend unending.

  1. Whoa BABY! What a gorgeous hammock. I didn't know such a thing existed -- my memories of hammocks involve my dad's old Navy canvas ones, string up between trees at our summerhouse.

This purple hammock is a revelation. I would totally WEAR it.

With a hole cut in the middle for my head, otherwise I'd look like a hippie ghost.

  6. gorgeous color. i love the design. the hubby loves hammocks as well. when we are out & about we always load up on them when at a great price to him ... right now the hammock is holding a gigantic branch (looks like a mini tree) that fell in a recent wind storm ... yet to remove it because of the constant heat. when the temps go down i will be out cleaning it all up. for now it's enjoying the hammock. ha. ha!! (:

  24. That has got to be the coolest hammock I've ever seen. I just run across plain old dark green ones or rope ones around here. You sure are fancy in the South!
