This week has been Not So Good and Very Bad as weeks go. Capital letters do not begin to cover it. I have a little poster on the pantry door, at the old house, that says Crazy Does Not Begin To Cover It. That covers it. Instead of dwelling on the bad bad happenings let's look at my wire cloche instead. Escape works for me.
This is an unplanned cloche vignette. I had the basket urn filled with wine corks and the wire cloche which seemed not to work with much and suddenly had a Eureka moment. Add vintage clock, antler, and knot and call it done. I also evicted Marie Antoinette (the bust) from this spot.
Every item on the cabinet was thrifted except the hydrangeas which come from my garden.

Poor Mary Antoinette - but I must say the wire cloche with its antique clock does fit the bill very nicely. As for your bad, bad week - Oh (gasp) Olive, that does sound ominous, hope you are OK and things mightily improve as the week goes on. Love and prayers xx
ReplyDeleteThe wire cloche is terrific and the contents make for a great vignette.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your horrible week. I shall pray now.
That is a lovely vignette. The wire cloche adds a lot of charm to the whole piece. Hope you will start having better things happen to you. Just remember the old saying, "This too shall pass".
ReplyDeleteMarie will survive - she has been ousted quite a few times Love the wire cloche with the antler and the clock. The whole vignette should inspire some happiness along the way. Be well, friend.
ReplyDeleteThe weird crazy party has spread down here too, so you get lots of sympathy and understanding here! I also like to distract myself when troubled, and rearranging furniture seems to help. Maybe I'll try changing accessories like you did. Seems easier on the back.
ReplyDeleteYour arrangement is lovely, and the world soon will be too. Hang in there.
Love the wire cloche!
ReplyDeleteA sweel little vignette. Deep breath and back to stomping on troubles.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place for the cloche! I think you may have started something new!
ReplyDeleteHoping your week gets better, Olive.
XO,
Jane
