Having an energetic puppy in the house made me a little worried about having a large cloche in the center of the coffee table. I changed it out for an alabaster urn on a tower of pedestals.
The alabaster urn came from the Catholic Thrift store and the pedestals came from estate sales.
I picked up another set of antlers at a flea market over the holidays.
I have ivy growing in containers all over the house.
I hope each of you had a Happy New Years Day.
I cooked all day Monday.
Tuesday Joe cut wood for our wood stove and I raked for hours.
Today CC helped me take our tree down.
We had a good time doing it but I am exhausted.

Looks lovely, Olive. I need to get motivated to change some things around here. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy surfaces are looking a bit uninspired. Why don't you pop over for tea, Olive!

So pretty!!! I love the stacked pedestals!
ReplyDeleteHi Olive, I love your little vignette, and I especially love Ivy too!... sounds like you have had a busy week... I still have this darn cold... thought maybe you had another Mimosa waiting for me???... medicinal purposes, you know... much love, and Happy New Year!... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteOh yes those puppies can be boisterous. Our 10 year old is still knocking things down. I wish she would settle down.
ReplyDeletelOVE this pretty tablescape...:) I love ivy and new puppies...
ReplyDeleteYour coffee table vignette is SO pretty. You have wonderful graduated pedestals. What fun!

Wow...I showed a coffee table today also....love those pedestals!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fresh inspiring vignette. I don't have any antlers...yet.
ReplyDeleteOlive~ I adore your tower with your pop of red from your tassel & pillow in the background! I'm still taking Christmas down :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely arrangement, the alabaster urn is really wonderful, and I agree that it's all beautifully puppy proof! I love ivy, but I never think to have some in the house...I need to buy some! Get some rest so you don't get run down!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Kat
Beautiful vignette and gotta love those antlers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely coffee table vignette Olive! I love the stacked pedestals. Happy New Year, Gail
ReplyDeleteSo pretty..hope the pup leaves your ivy alone. Love the look of the green ivy and white container. This weekend Greta decided to tear up the magazines that were on the coffee table..you never know what trips her trigger!
ReplyDeleteI have trouble with my dog and her tail knocking over things! Your arrangement looks great.
ReplyDeleteJudy
Hope your pretty arrangement stays safe from the puppy! With our yellow lab and her wicked tail around, I'd be afraid to put out even something that sturdy! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Olive! The urn is beautiful and the ivy adds freshness. I always think...when in doubt, add a plant! I guarantee that my kids can wreak more havoc then your pup. Anything on my coffee table blocks their view of the TV or leaves them too little space to eat their fast food. I can't even put my decorating books on the table or they will spill on them. It's hard to believe they are in their 20's!!

BTW...hubby might have an infection in his surgical incision. He was told to put a moist, hot compress on it. What the heck is that?
Your table vignette is so pretty....love those antlers!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

Very pretty vignette! Love the stacked pedestals! so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHi Olive!!! You've got a great look going on here. I've never so much as laid eyes on a pedestal in all my forays. I love that they are all different. I understand your exhaustion. I feel like I am coming out of a coma or something. The holiday was long for us this year. Happy New Year to ya'll!
ReplyDeleteYour vignettes are always so pretty....
ReplyDeleteI see from your side bar that you are reading Gone Girl. How are you liking it? My husband devoured it in two days and loved it.
That table and display look like they are from a magazine! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI would be afraid your puppy would go for the coral or antlers - our old dog would always destroy anything from the ocean...
ReplyDeleteLove the pedestals and the splash of red with the tassel.
Love your coffee table and the vignette you created for it, Olive! The urn looks great with the ivy. Just a simple and classic look to it.
ReplyDeleteOlive, I love the pedestals. I don't blame you putting your cloches up high. I love ivy, it's so nice to see in your pictures. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteOlive, the pedestals look fabulous stacked on top of eachother!!! Beautiful! And so pretty for winter!
ReplyDeleteI love how you stacked the pedestals!!! I would love to find some, I don't have ANY:( The pp of red looks beautiful! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteI've never come across a pedestal at an estate sale, and you've found three! You're way ahead of me. We haven't even had our Christmas yet!
ReplyDeleteGreat vignette! Love the stacked pedestals and urn..such a classic look, and ivy is a plant which I love to have indoors and out. Doesn't it feel great to work in the yard? We really need to do a lot of pruning, etc.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend and gets lots of rest from all that yard work.

what a beautiful vignette, I'm seriously coveting those fabulous pedestals!!
ReplyDeleteAgree with Debra ~ love the pedestals. And the antlers. So fun to see other's obsessions (**
ReplyDeleteLove the pedestals. Our tree is down but not all the decorations.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vignette! You've found some great pieces!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a GREAT weekend!
Blessings,
Cindy
Much better than a cloche - that would be asking a lot of a puppy! It looks beautiful. Happy New Year, my friend.

Happy New Year Olive, I love your stacked pedestals, probably best to replace the glass cloche with the pedestals, as they are weighty and your cute little puppy won't be able to knock them over. Hope you are having fun with your puppy. Best Wishes Daphne
