Welcome back to the extraordinary Grace Cottage.
Today you will see the side herb garden, the back yard limelight hydrangea garden,
the log cabin, and other out buildings.
All filled with my friend's brilliant primitive style.
It is a photo heavy post so HANG ON.
Get some ice tea.
Relax.
The prettiest chicken feeder I have ever seen holds court in the middle of the herb garden.
Behind the fence is the back yard.
The stone patio area was a recent addition.
She has lots of fun decorating inside and outside these buildings.
I apologize for not catching the hydrangeas in bloom and
that I was out taking photos in the blasting sun.
This image and all following ones are inside the fence.
A washboard fountain.
I hope you enjoyed this wonderful home and gardens and it's delightful details.

In Olive Out news Joe and I have been going to scads of doctors appointments.
I had an MRI on my shoulder as my Rheumatologist was shocked
that one had not been done.
Joe had really bad health news which I cannot go into now.
We are still mulling his test results over.
I am one week late with this promised post and am afraid I will be away again this week.
I have Grand Jury duty starting in the morning.
Say a prayer for me that it will not be a long session as I am not feeling as good as usual.
joy and peace
Olive

ReplyDeleteOh my Olive, I hate hear not good health news. You and Joe will be in my thoughts. Your friends home is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI loved this tour...I love houses and gardens that are so full of charm. I can't believe you didn't have a MRI of your shoulder either - how did they make an accurate diagnosis without one?! I had another evaluation at PT today and my range of motion greatly improved - except for reaching behind my back. It is STUCK. I am so sorry to hear Joe got bad health news. I will email you privately later.
ReplyDeleteI love all the pictures Olive. So many cute things. Recycled too. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your health woes. I hate having an MRI, so I think you are very brave. Prayers for Joe.
Oh I'm so sorry to hear that you and your husband have had some health problems! I hope both of you will be on the mend soon. Your husband's sounds serious. I hope that whatever he is going through is treatable. I loved seeing the outside gardens and outbuildings of your friends house. It's really a feast for the eyes!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I am so sorry that things are not good for ya'll. I'm crazy about Joe. I sure will be praying for both of you.
ReplyDeleteGreat Post! Beautiful photos and yes, I could live there. I'll take your house or that one!
Loved the tour . . . sights and treats . . .
ReplyDeleteHope the Jury duty goes well . . ,
Prayers for your Joe . . . and YOU . . .
Love the cottage garden. It would be so nice to leave all my objects d'art out all winter, but I guess I really don't mind accommodating them for the pleasure they give me in summer.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are dismissed from jury duty, and all else goes as well too.
Well, tell them you have a blog to write and a dog and cat to play with, you can't do jury duty :) Thanks for the garden tour. I see about five things I want to steal in there, starting with the tobacco basket.
ReplyDeleteI hope the jury is somewhere close to home. Love the yard of Grac e Cottage - many ideas for garden art. Be well.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about the health news Olive and you and your husband will be in my prayers. Ugh...jury duty, yes, I know it has to be done, but it always seems to come at a bad time :)
