A Gentleman, A Chandelier

I ran across a chandelier yesterday suspended over a leather king size bed on this handsome mans.... garage. Had you going there for a minute didn't I? I looked at the price tag and was very pleased but was going to see if he would lower it a bit as some crystals are missing. Mind you, he is a designer and was also selling large pieces of furniture and carpets in excess of five hundred dollars. He had tented rooms all over his yard just a half mile from The Augusta National Golf course. His name is Phillip.  I called him over and asked if he could do better on the price. He said, "How about twenty five dollars?"

Before I could say I would take it a young woman with a tiny infant strapped to her chest jumps into our conversation and gets in my face and says she would give him thirty for it. Phillip ignores her and nods to me and says he will get the chandelier down for me. He is a gentleman and not swayed by five dollars. The woman gets really loud then and insists she will pay more. 

Did she want me to arm wrestle her for it?

 

Phillip is a character and told me since his hair went white he gets more "action." 

{I had told him his white hair was terribly handsome.}

 I said, "Funny, all I get are senior citizens discounts at age forty nine with my grey hair."

He also reduced the price of an elephant lamp for CC. He was unhurried and had a huge crowd of customers there and spent time talking to us. He had a large group of friends helping him with the sale which was well organized.

Our new chandelier will be hung under the roofed part of our deck and Joe is happy electricity is not required. I must first clean the deck and sell a desk that is resting there. 

The life of a geriatric junker is not boring.
