Hotel Lamps


I have a fascination with lamps and buy and sell them every week.
Joe and I can just about completely rebuild one too. When we recently stayed in a hotel for a quick weekend trip the lamps in the lobby caught my notice. The entire lobby was done in a mountain lodge look. The hotel was a national chain but was uniquely decorated for it's mountain setting.

Here are a few of the lamps and other features:





This was a dark corner but I like this textured knobby lamp.


A canoe coffee table.


An enormous single piece of pine used as a table top.

The bird lamp is charming too.


A pair of these flanked a water feature on the mantel. 
This was a Hampton Inn where I like the beds and Joe likes the breakfasts.
 We are a member of their points club and stayed one night for free.

    That single piece of wood table top is speaking to me rather loudly. It's perfect!

    What stood out in that 1st picture was the chair. I want that chair. In fact I want two and they must be rockers. I also want the black on white curtains. I know this post is about lamps but....what can I say?

    I've heard of The Hampton. I thought I had some strange obsessions, but hotel lamps must be a rare one. Are you ever tempted to steal?

      No, and remember we were in a Mini with CC and the puppy. Not an inch to spare.

    Great lamps -- I just drug my old, tired floor lamp out to the garage this weekend with my rearranging. The one you picture is just perfect for my spot :)

    Better get out and find one just like it :)

    I like their breakfasts too. I have a thing for lamps. I will have to count how many I have in my house. And the other day I broke down and got another!

    Olive, I never would have guessed that was a Hampton Inn. You must still be in the Smokies, you lucky gal... love those lamps, but have to admit the canoe coffee table is inspired. Hope you are having a great time. Ann

    I love lamps too and even did a post about that!!! I LOVE the antler one. It is so unusual that it speaks to me. I ahve lamps from all over. I think I counted 32 in my house:):) XO, Pinky

    I too have a fascination for lamps and try to buy them every chance I see one at a yard sale, or estate sale. Thanks for sharing! I liked that floor lamp with the birds. Really unique!

    I was going to ask if it was a Hampton Inn. Gotta love the waffles, although I'm always amazed that kids don't put their hands in the waffle irons. Or maybe that is just something I would have done when I was a kid.
