Filled With Awe and Thankfulness

You, dear readers gave me such a tremendous and heartfelt response to our professional images I am filled with awe and thankfulness. Thursday when I posted the images it was my birthday, where I turned half a century, as has been discussed til I am nearly adjusted to it by now. You are the best readers and if I could hug you all and send you a  pink hydrangea I would.

I am drying some pink blossoms from the Costco hydrangea we bought last month.
It is now blooming again.

My friend and neighbor Fancy gave me these little butter dishes yesterday. They are darling and I can put one at each end of the table when I have several guests for dinner.
Which would be every odd Tuesday when the moon is full.

The yellow house will be swimming with little guests for the next three weeks. Next Saturday we are having a neighborhood garage sale at Fancy's. We have a blast each year when we have a sale at her house and de-clutter at the same time. Bob and Sue, my brother in law and sister in law are joining our sale and so are some friends from near our old house.
Fancy is so kind to let all of us descend upon her yard and house.

joy and peace

  1. I bet you'll find another use for those cute butter dishes. Enjoy the invasion, and don't get too busy to post. We don't want to miss a thing!

    As you know, I
    reached this same
    milestone, this year.
    Ain't it grand?!

    Darling butter dishes.
    And can a name GET
    any cuter than Fancy???

    xo Suzanne

  3. Thank you so much for stopping by Olive and your heartfelt comment... I have a really hard time saying goodbyes... don't like doing so... but the time is right for me to quit posting on my blog... I do want to keep in touch with my sweet friends, like you... so I will be stopping in to check on you, much love, xoxo Julie Marie

  4. I never thought I could say this, but if I ever coveted anything, it's the precious butter dishes. From someone who's twenty years older, you'll like my fifty year old story. My daughter said, "Mom, if you're fifty, do you know how old that makes me!" Yes, I did. Twenty eight. Boo hoo.

  5. I love hydrangeas, and hopefully one of these days mine will grow and bloom.

  6. Lovin' those adorable butter dishes-too cute! Best of luck with the yard sale, I had so much fun at one this morning:@)

  7. I sure wish I could come to the garage sale. Love the butter dishes.Smiles, xo, Susie

  8. Oh dear Olive, hugs back to you sweet lady! Okay, I so want those butter dishes! They are too cute! I'll be on the lookout for some like them! I'd love to be shopping at that garage sale, bet you all have some really great treasures! I think I want a neighbor like Fancy!

  9. Those are the cutest little butter dishes and oh how I love the big brown bowl. I have one similar to it that was my MIL's. Hydrangeas are my favorite flower! Enjoy your afternoon!

  10. Love your beautiful hydrangea photos Olive, but I have to say that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the photos of YOU in the last post!!!! I enjoyed seeing you celebrating your 50th year in such a way. Take comfort in the fact that I will always be seven years older than you my friend : ) and it's coming up next week!
    sending hugs...

  11. Happy Birthday Olive! I'm celebrating mine today. My hubby planned a wonderful birthday weekend for me in PA and most of my time was spent shopping at Antiques and Collectibles shops. Enjoy your day, Gail
