Beautiful! Mine have not bloomed yet this year. Waiting patiently. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Olive. Sounds like they are very forgiving!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Iris' are so pretty and unique. My great grandmother's yard was filled with these and lilies.
ReplyDeleteHardy plants, for sure. And very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOlive, Iris's reproduce so fast, I normally dig up over half mine every year and just throw them into the weeds and next year they are growing in that space. I don't even burry them. I have purple but your yellow are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful. This will be my 2nd year for heirloom irises given to me by a 60+ yr old friend (they were her grandmother's!). Still waiting on mine to bloom, looking forward to it, and will be happy to be at the point of needing to divide and transplant.
ReplyDeleteEvery spring I have iris envy wishing I had remembered to plant some bulbs. Love the bright yellow.
ReplyDeleteIris are so hardy. Mine are in the alley and by the driveway... I never water them. Even in our drought conditions they survive and thrive.
ReplyDeleteI'm just a tad bit jealous of your irises. I got overly aggressive with cutting down my shoots last year and now I think I may have killed half the irises in my beds. Patience is not one of my many virtues.
ReplyDeleteI WANT Irises -- even have a great spot picked out but alas, our big old Husky has decided that is *her* spot. I am conflicted about up rooting her to plant -- maybe she'll pick another spot, Thanks for sharing the beauty!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Gail
Spring has arrived when the Iris bloom . . . not here yet!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!! Ours hasn't bloomed yet.
ReplyDeleteOne thing about iris is that they will survive about anywhere. Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteJudy
I'm expecting my to be visiting for Memorial Day. Their blossoms are still little round fairy heads among the leaves.
ReplyDeleteI love irises. Yours are really pretty! I have some, but not very many. Hope you're having a great weekend. It's pretty here today, but rain is coming!
ReplyDeleteSO pretty! They look like they enjoy surviving on their own!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Olive! My very favorite color. Off to catch up on your older posts!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, I love the yellow:@)
ReplyDeleteYour yellow iris is so pretty Olive! Wow...has it ever multiplied in the past year!
ReplyDeleteI bet you are loving this time of year too. Sometimes I come in so tired, but what a great tired it is.
sending hugs...
They say irises do best in poor growing conditions...seeing is believing. Yellow irises are my favorites. While I love the purple ones the yellow ones remind me of a pop of sun in the garden. Beautiful, Olive! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Olive. I love the yellow irises. Have a great start to the new week.
ReplyDeleteKris
I have irises just that color - they may be blooming in a month to a month and a half - getting sleet today. ;(
