I was busily packing the Mini and noticed them in the flower garden.
Round, pudgy, and wonderfully pink camellias.
I used an Antique Filter on the above image from Photoscape.
Embossing the camellia shows the delicate details so well.
We also planted a red camellia last year that will bloom soon.
I hope it's red.
I really must start writing all our plants down in a garden journal.
The camellias are not blooming early, they are supposed to bloom in winter.
All the other flowers here in the Deep South are blooming early.
joy and peace

ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower Olive. I am so bad at gardening and have very little knowledge of flowers. This is a super shot.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I wish I had such luck as yours in my yard!
ReplyDeleteJusy glorious, wish they grew here!
ReplyDeleteLove the effects you can get with Photoscape, particularly that embossed one.
ReplyDeleteOh, so beautiful -- no blooms here for a while yet - like 2 more months. I bet that red one is going to be glorious!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

Some blades of grass are turning green here! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the first image with the antique effect.
I love Camellias, and yours are beautiful! I will have to have a look around and see if my neighbor's Camellias are blooming yet!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
The Camellias are beautiful. I love the antique filter you used. It certainly does bring out the details.
ReplyDeleteOlive, I was wonderingwhere you lived that you had flowers alreay..I looked at your profile:):) Lucky you. Hope your red one blooms too. Smiles, Susie(She Junks)
ReplyDeleteMy camellias are still tight buds at the moment. Love your photos
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking! I adore the this flower for brightening up the winter months.
ReplyDeleteThere is a large red one (bush) on the next street over. I need to get over there and do some shooting.
Gorgeous flowers! I agree, a journal would have been a great idea for me too! Actually thought about it, but just never started it:@)
ReplyDeleteI love Camellias Olive and we have two bushes that usually bloom in January. My overzealous BIL while doing some yard work to help me out "trimmed" (read scalped) them. He didn't know what they were and that it takes years sometimes to get great blooms. My fault for not saying they were off limits. The first 8 years we lived here, they didn't bloom and then suddenly they did and I realized what precious cargo I had in the backyard. So I am glad to be able to enjoy the pictures of yours, Olive. Ann
ReplyDeleteOh Olive, those are out of this world gorgeous! What incredibly beautiful little buds! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! You have real blooms!
