Breadboard

This is my huge breadboard.
I imagine it is for decorative purposes only
due to it's width and length.
It has to lean against a wall.

It is new but made from an old Hungarian building.
I did pay too much for it.
Rarely do I splurge but when I do I go big.
I bought it at a local store in the county our old house is in.
Buying local is important to me.

I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend.
We are enjoying spending time with CC.
If I am not commenting or posting as much here
 it's because
I am with our darling girl.

  1. I doubted that I would ever find a large breadboard/cheeseboard that I see blogging all the time so I asked my kids for the Pottery Barn round one.

  13. That would be great for a wine and cheese party with crispy French stick bread, but my eye keeps wandering away from your bread board to that delicious still life painting above.
Yes, it is difficult to think in terms of the frivolity of Christmas when so many lives have been destroyed forever in Newton. Parents whose hearts will never be mended, and precious young lives lost before they had even reached the starting post.

  24. Good Evening Olive, The only other place I have seen such a huge bread board is in Cyprus. The baker places the bread on a similar bread board and puts the bread in an open oven to bake. Yours is a wonderful decorative bread board and the bow is just perfect. Have a lovely evening. Best Wishes Daphne

  31. Oh Olive I love this. I nearly died when I saw it leaning on your wall. I just got a gigantic dough bowl that is doing the exact same thing in my living room. I think it might be too big for my dining room table! Maybe it will just stay holding up the wall. Merry Christmas to you and yours...hope it is lovely. ~Ann
