Blue Store

Do you ever ride around in the evening?

We do.

Then I see a building, a flower or something and yell STOP!

Such was the case when I saw this blue chipppy paint.

The pieces are better than the whole.

It is a corner store in a sleepy little Georgia town.

Isn’t the blue faded and just right?

People were riding by while I was snapping pics and I can imagine they were thinking LOON.

I am one happy picture taking LOON ya’ll.

  10. You have such an eye for chippy, rusty goodness! I have noticed though that since I have been taking more photos out in public that people do stare at you a lot. Like "why is she taking a close up shot of rust"?

It's always an interesting feeling, that of others watching you taking pictures of things that perhaps seem, I don't know, silly? to them. But we soldier on.

  23. I am long past the point where I care what people see me doing when I'm out taking pictures~ LOL
I've climbed into and over things to get at stuff to shoot and see up close. I guess I am looney, too. :-)
Your photos of the old chippy paint are wonderful, Olive. That door reminds me of the faded blue color you see on old, abandoned homes in my home state of NM. That color originally started out turquoise!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

  24. Favorite? The door with its remnants of blue paint. So beautiful!
And as far as people thinking you're a loon, I took a picture of my sister holding a giant cauliflower up against her head yesterday. In public. Loon? Proud to be one.
