Tablescape?
Is that really a word?
I did my very first one last Sunday.
It was fabulous fun and Joe helped.
He cut and arranged the flowers, purple and yellow lantana from our garden at the yellow house.

China: Mikasa Garden Harvest purchased twenty years ago
Flatware: An entire set from the 1960’s found at a yard sale
Stemware: Monogrammed from a yard sale (I will buy any letter or set of initials)
Tablecloth: Borrowed from friend Fancy who got it at a yard sale
Vase: Vintage from a yard sale
Cat: Mine all mine, I Luf him

The photos were taken in our backyard at the yellow house beside our dwindling flower garden.

I believe blogland has made tablescape a word. Trust me, after the first few scapes, Joe will be into it as much as you. My boys love to point things out that I could use in a tablescape. Pretty funny. Your setting and table are so lovely!

ReplyDeleteThis is lovely. I agree....you have a great guy. My hubby is used to my tablescapes. He always asks now "have you taken your pictures yet?" Which means...haha....can I sit down and eat! And yes your table is very inviting!

ReplyDeleteOh I did laugh at your comments about your husband, how kind that he helped you with the tablescape though. I mentioned tablescapes to my husband recently and he had never heard of them, plus the whole idea of doing one especially for a blog post he just could not get his head around! I think it looks like fun and hopefully you enjoyed a lovely meal sitting here in the sunshine.
