Chania at Ramataz is having a photo challenge every week. Today’s theme is Pink. I adore pink and have a lot of it. I recently picked up this linen towel for a song. It is old and is in perfect condition.

It's gorgeous Olive.! I love how you captured the light underneath the fabric. I am always picking up old teatowels and hand towelswith embroidery. Can you imagine having the time to embroider your towels? Such beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining in today.
Picturing to myself all the love and care that went into making that darling towel. Just think...someone found the time to make that without all the "time savers" we have now. Makes one stop and think...huh?

Beautiful tea towel, Olive. I wish I could figure out what to do with some of the pretty ones I have. Of course, you can't use them, nothing stains worse than tea! Any suggestions?

That's gorgeous, honey!! I just heard about this challenge from A Montana Life and decided to show one of my pinks also. Come see what it is, chickee. This is fun...

Ooooh, nice to meet ya also, honey.
Whenever I see towels like this, I am reminded of how much hand work all women used to do. The creative need has always been there for us. Now we can just express it so many alternate ways...Still the beauty of this type of work is all but lost...except Pam Garrison is surely trying to bring it back. I'm with her!
