Grace Cottage

Grace Cottage has been lovingly restored by two friends of ours.
They have filled it with colonial antiques.
It is brimming with charm, wit, and country inspiration.

Let's look at the exterior and cottage gardens.

The owners are incredibly talented.
She is a brilliant decorator and gardener.
He is incredibly skilled at restoration.
They are the nicest people too.

There is a fountain in front and out back.

A star.

The front flower bed details are quite well thought out.
Y'all know I love the cloche.

Too see interior images of this home see Country Christmas House.

Come back here next week where you can see the back yard, herb garden,
log cabin, and out buildings.
Yes, they have all that on a small city lot.

Teapot, Teacups, Pitchers

Good morning my friends.

This crazed, creamy, and blue teapot is the cutest.
I found it in a junk shop.
It is on my dining table where I have a vintage bedspread with intricate embroidery.
If you see cat hair-this is where Gremmie hangs out.
We eat elsewhere.

Thank you all for your comments in my last ice storm post.
Y'all are awfully sweet.
I have the best friends here too.

Look at that old embroidery.
Do use vintage spreads and quilts as tablecloths.
They work quite well.

Two Meakin {made in England}small pitchers from the same junk shop.
Forgive my blurry pics.
I am in bad form.
We picked up more truck loads of limbs yesterday.
We are making progress.
We can now walk to our mailbox unscathed.

A leaning tower of Meakin teacups in a cloche.
I like that caddy wampus look.

Caddy wampus is where it's at for us these days:}

Broome Closet Booths At Ridge Antiques

Hey ya'll.

How are you doing on this cold Monday?
I realize many of you are hunkered down in snow, ice, and cold that I cannot imagine.
I pray you are safe and warm.

Since I last showed you our Broome Closet Booths we have acquired a third booth.
We are busy. And blessed.

Lots of images to follow.
If you stay with me you are a peach.

Beth painted this French Country coffee table.
I love it.

Our back booth is chock full of vintage mirrors.

You know I must have some cloches.

My back is aching from moving this large old dining table last Saturday.
I feel like I have been moving furniture for days.
That's because I have been moving furniture for days:}

Please  come see us any time Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Monday.

Olive Out Best Images 2013

From Vintage Toys post in May here.

I thought I posted this image in Southern Farm House but you can find a similar one here.
I bought a new computer in the spring and locating my images is building my character.
Enough said.

Wire Cloche {gilded shells} here.
By the way our island has been viewed more than any other topic
I have written about or photographed here on Olive Out.

The  mailbox image is one of my favorites indeed and tugs at my heart.
It is from Tied To A Place here.

The island again. I almost did not buy this rack, whatever it is, but it works.
See it here in Kitchen Island With Vintage Dish Rack.

The gallery wall in it's early stages. It has expanded.
Find it in Gallery Wall here.

Ridge Antiques has become a huge part of my life thanks to my dear friend Beth.
I love this stack of crates in Bob's booth read Primitives and More here.

Friendly Village China In A Toolbox here.
Blogging has been tougher for me this year than any other but I am not stopping.
I love each of my readers and all my blog brings to me in inspiration and encouragement.

Next post will be my 2013 flower images.

Please read my post sponsored by Kaplan and Blogher here.
Spend "thirty minutes" with me in the center I worked in as an R.N.

Cloche, Clocks, Pumpkins

I have been fiddling with my two white pumpkins.
I have sold the remaining stash of fall items.
The orange has left the building.

Joe and I picked up this cloche with some gift cards we had.
You know I needed another cloche.

Forgive my blurry images please.
It began raining the very minute I started taking
photos.

This may be my only nod to fall.
However I am into vintage clocks.
Now I have those two under the glass.
You know I need a few more.

The creamer is part of my collection of Old Britain Castles transferware.
I have collected twenty pieces thus far.
I found two pieces last weekend.

Do you "get" the thrill of the hunt?

Tell me what you are hunting for.

CC has written a second post on her South Korean Journey Blog.
She, Joe, and I enjoyed your comments on her first post.
I placed a link to her blog on my sidebar.

Gallery Wall

Adjusting the gallery wall oil paintings, prints, and frames has been
an off and on summer passion.
Not that I measure.
Joe would use a level and a ruler.

Every picture or painting is a thrifty find save for the central white matted one.
The Talented B and I found the alabaster lamp in a junk shop.
I had no cash and she sweetly paid for it.
It is a good idea to have cash on you while thrifting.

I have a more-is-more-style.

I am not finished with the gallery wall or corner.
 It has gaps.
I would like a pair of small oil paintings inside the vintage rectangular frame.
I am always looking for old oval frames.

This is the other side of the corner and it needs more something.
That is CC at age three.

In Olive Out news I am doing fine after the procedure yesterday.
I am staying in the house and being entertained by Gremmie and Shelley.
Thank you, my peeps, for your comments and emails.

Elegant Home Office Details

Welcome back to The Talented B's office.
Let's get into some of it's finer details today.

Which teacup do you prefer?
 Brown or blue?

This sweet garden angel is on the floor by the window.

Do you prefer the white lamp? Or the lamp with the black shade?
Please tell us in the comments.
B has yet to decide so let's help her.

B sources her fabrics from all over the place. She is also thrifty in buying fabric. These drapes are the exclamation points in this room. There is another window but I did not get it in the images.

She found this vintage swiveling office chair at an estate sale and had the seat covered in faux leather.

B wallpapered the back of the secretary.
It makes the vintage pottery pop.
I repeated this image as I love this composition of dishes.
