Grace Cottage

Grace Cottage has been lovingly restored by two friends of ours.
They have filled it with colonial antiques.
It is brimming with charm, wit, and country inspiration.

Let's look at the exterior and cottage gardens.

The owners are incredibly talented.
She is a brilliant decorator and gardener.
He is incredibly skilled at restoration.
They are the nicest people too.

There is a fountain in front and out back.

A star.

The front flower bed details are quite well thought out.
Y'all know I love the cloche.

Too see interior images of this home see Country Christmas House.

Come back here next week where you can see the back yard, herb garden,
log cabin, and out buildings.
Yes, they have all that on a small city lot.

Freedom

The American flag gives me a little catch in my throat.
It stands for life, death, victory, freedom, and so much more.

For the brave men and women who gave everything.
We remember.

Yes, we go all out with flags on Memorial Day.
It is not enough.
We think our veterans deserve the best and do not get much these days.

Joes's father was in the military.
Joe has lived all over the world on military bases.
Joe's brother served in Vietnam when he was a young man.
Joe wrote to him every day he was in that war.
Thankfully he came home.
Joe would gladly have signed up but he is blind in one eye.

Southern Farm House

The farm house at Magnolia Ridge in Ridge Spring, South Carolina is a splendid southern home with a large barn and several outbuildings.

A double gliding swing is on the front porch. I have not seen many of these.

These gates were for sale. How about that?

One of the outbuildings has red chippy paint.

The barn is large and tall for the South.

I also took many pictures on Instagram.
I am oliveout there.
