Joe says our walls are a rotating gallery of my found art.
He could be right.
I took down the praying man picture and put up the gilded oval frame.
You can see how chippy the frame is. I paid one dollar for it.
Should I put something on it to hold it together?
I put this oil painting in it. This oil is dated 1951. It is older than me...woot.
I would keep it! The oil painting is nice, too...although I will have to admit to being older than it! lol Have fun on your outing...I think I'll google it to see where it is! I would love to go sometime!
ReplyDeleteThat Joe sounds like a sweety!
ReplyDeleteI love your friend's name, Fancy. Hey, I am older than your oil painting. Enjoy your rotating art collection.
ReplyDeleteI love your rotating collections...
ReplyDeletei want to know where to find a "praying man" ... forgive me if i have told you this story. my friend had one when i was a child & i would look at him & think about him. what type of man was he & so forth. always wanted one. wonder where i could get one? i love moving things around here in the home. the hubby not so much. it confuses him. ha. ha!! (:
ReplyDeleteBeth, maybe on etsy or ebay. Or an estate sale. They were not uncommon in the 1950's and 60's.
DeleteVery pretty Olive! So jealous about you going to the Pottery Barn Outlet.
ReplyDeletePretty oil, Olive! Hope you and Fancy have a great time at the PB Outlet. I keep saying I'm going over there. I haven't been in a long time. It's probably just as well, I'd be buying everything in sight. Have fun!

Your frame is so pretty, Olive. Definitely keep it for awhile, then change it when you find something else you can't let go right away. I love your whole vignette. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun road trip.
